New Balance MT580 x MA-1 Flight Jacket

New Balance is slated to Drop this MA-1 Flight Jacket inspired MT580 in July . The MT580 is a rugged mountain walking shoe formerly only found in Japan for the past 10 years , last year it became available stateside in America. The shoe comes with an interchangeable N logo in orange and olive , a ripstop nylon upper and a boot like lace hole on the upper. Its a good summer release that if you let it set will become an excellent winter sneaker. No word yet on selected retailers expect stores that got the New Balance Clips pack to receive these.

Nike Cross Training Spring 2010 x Its Smooth like Butter

Nike is back into the swing of things in the Cross Training department with the upcoming releases of Nike Lunar Kayoss, SC Trainer 2010 , and the Trainer 1 low. The only thing I have to say is YESSSS! . Its about time we see some new models that are fit for casual wear as they are for working out. Now all we need is great athlete to endorse some of these models Cough ** Michael Vick**Cough and we have renewed mainstream interest in cross training shoes. It warms my heart to see Nike putting lots of effort into creating new sneaker models that are not basketball shoes.With the addition of flywire to the SC Trainer 2010 we won't have to worry about having to tie our laces to tight for a snug and comfortable fit while working out with the additon of a better air bubble unit.Another favorite shoe of mine the Air Trainer 1 is also getting the flywire treatment which will reduce its weight and contribute a snuggier fit and an extremely durable sole.
My question is this will the lunar foam be weak and flimsy like in the Hyperdunks and Lunar Mariah. Many people have complained that the lightness of the foam made the shoe wear out quickly after repeated strenuous wears.Hopefully this will be answered with increased amounts of it in the Lunar Kayoss. 2010 is shaping out to be very interesting year for collectors with all the diverse sneakers coming out from every company

Mystery Theather presents Air Jordan 2 KO, and the Jordan Sky High

Some say it means Knock Out, others Knock OFF. What really is the meaning behind the KO with the approaching release of the Air Jordan KO 1 light now needs to be shined on its successor the Air Jordan 2 K.O and the elusive Sky High. From the Looks of the AJ KO 2 the shoe seems to have thicker ankle padding around the collar for added support yet overall the shoe looks no different from the Air Jordan 2 we have grown to love.

Now onto a lesser known model the Nike Air Jordan Sky High. This shoe was the first attempt at how the Jumpman logo would appear on an actual pair of kicks. Consisting of the backtab of a Jordan 2 ,canvas upper , the nike blazer belly swoosh and sole, and the Jumpman. The shoe is a simple shoe to say it was made around 1987-to 1989 . Yet if it was a sample why was it put in a Nike Catalog? The shoe has also reappeared under a new name without the swoosh since it is a JB pro duct the recently released yet forgotten Jordan Phly .

This shoes orginial name was Fly High which is very similar to the name Sky High. So somebody at Nike and JB knows about there older unreleased sneakers and decided to rerelease it under a new name Right Right.......

AJKO vintage retro Its the only way

A friend of mine named Tokyo Mike loves the AJKO I mean dude well probably destroy all of Tokyo to pick up a wearable pair on some Godzilla type stuff. AJKO is one of if not the rarest jordan ever the shoe is a whisper like talking about the sequel to Mutant League Football, or an arcade machine with a working Primal Rage 2 in it . This shoe is that rare people. Jordan Brand decided it was gonna take a page from the Nike Vintage collection and retro the AJKO the only canvas Jordan besides the Sky High . The AJKO is similar to the Dunk with the flap upper of the Dunk , the canvas upper ,and sole of the Vandal.

No one knows for sure about the meaning of the AJKO some say its a boxing shoe some say just a test run of Air Jordan 1. The great thing about these shoes is that they are the last mystery of Jordan Brand after every shoe has been retroed this shoe and the Air jordan 2 KO are the last of the Jordan unknowns . Anyway I digresss the AJ1KOs are set to rerelease this summer so be on the lookout for these and if you live in Japan watch out for the Black guy that wears a size 11 these shoes are not worth your live ,but maybe in his eyes. Brand of the Decade goes to BAPE

Now Before I go into detail lets establish somethings Bape changed how sneakers release, Bape changed how a store has to be ran, Bape has changed the Streetwear/Ready-To-Wear industry for the better , BAPE changed how the Big sneaker companies view the consumer.

Bape created the artifical limited release by creating his sneakers in small quantities with high price tags He made every release just as important as the one before . Before this companies checked the market to make sure the sneaker would be popular by having it endoresed by athtletes. Nigo threw this strategy out the window by creating a limited supply he insured he would never have a high loss if the shoe wasn't popular and due to people fearing that they might never see this colorway again they bought up the sneakers as quickly as possible to resell.

Before Bape most sneaker and clothing store let you buy whatever you want and what size you wanted and most importantly as much as you wanted. Bape doesn't allow that in order to buy a Bape shoe or clothing article you have to buy your own size and you only can buy one of said Item A Busy Workshop store cuts back on resellers by making sure the buyer can only purchase there size.

Before Bape we had brands like TROOP and British Knights which focused on garnering hood appeal they where guady, corny, and all they did was look over each others shoulder making streetwear stagnant . Bape is a versatile brand they make a hoodie that is bright pink and a shirt that is black and shows minimal details. Thus insuring they can have fans of different style.

In short congratualtions Bape on a succesful decade in the streetwear , and sneaeker industry hopefully you continue to be a pioneer in your fields of business

Nike continues the cross training releases with the Air Carnivore one of the more futuristic sneakers that came out in the early 90s. Released in 1993 the Air Carnivore's where one of the more slept on if not forgotten releases of that decade overshadowed by its basketball shoe brother the Nike Air Unlimited which was the signature shoe of David Robinson (Pic here).The Air Carnivore was a shoe ahead of its time the straps on the shoe prevent spraining your ankle while making the shoe easy to put on and take off which gave the wearer much needed convenience . Heyy Mister don't You have retro coming out?

Great new cross trainer fans the Diamond Turfs return next year . Nike is bringing back various cross trainers next year , but the release that has garnered my attention the most is the Diamond Turf. As a born Cowboys fan Deion was one of my favorite players and one my favorite athletes of all time. The only man to every win the Super Bowl and play in the World Series ( Does Bo Know this!!) . The retro of this shoe makes me ecstatic because I messed out on the DT Max 96s that retroed so I have a chance to redeem my self. Anyway more about the sneaker Deion wore these in 93 after his trip to the World Series.

With the re retro of this shoe after its retro in 04 Nike is taking a risk at these flopping like its previous release but, luckily many collectors are willing to buy the sneakers they grew up more than ever since Nike has been releasing quality cross training retros lately the Griffey 1 retro being the prime example so we may see a very good quality sneaker which makes this an even sweeter release.

Probably the most forgotten part of sneaker collecting is the hunt , today's modern collector does not hunt for his sneakers they don't travel out of their comfort zone to find that pair their looking for .I finally found my favorite Adidas of all time the Adidas Metro Attitudes in the Knicks Colorway, I hunted all over Houston for them and planned a trip to go get them for the steal of 50 dollars even though they where on finishline.com for the same price.

Why because I loved the thrill of the hunt its so much better riding around calling a thousand stores bugging the owner for that one pair of sneakers that fills up an important part of their collection. I mean the shoes quality is great the leather doesn't crease they are comfortable its an all around great retro and that's how it should be . It was me my brother, and our boy Anthony aka Sage running around Houston woth only 50 dollars and no food money and I was thinking "where they still there somebody could have bought them ah crap ". You know what it all paid off just hoping to get those sneakers . That's why I'am a sneakerhead I love kicks with a passion I hunt , barter and scrounge up the ends to find that pair like all collectors let them be car , toy or wine connoisseurs this is what I do this is my life.

For all you old heads ( serious old heads like Bobbito and his crew ) who were balling in the 80s this release is a dream come true. In the book Where'd You Get Those Bobbito and his friends who I like to call only in jest the Salts they spoke of this shoe and many other New Balance shoes with such pride ,because New Balance running shoes were expensive at that time going for a 100 dollars .Which we all no in the hip hop community it doesn't matter how it looks as long as its expensive it is the ultimate status symbol hah. All New Balance shoes were considered official after James Worthy started wearing them ( hell he even had his name on the tongue of the 785s)not only were they a dope shoe they had great ankle support. For all you old timers who remember buying or boosting them you all can quit sighing about the golden days and finally get that pair no news yet on the release date but we will surely keep you posted.

For all you fans of the Air Yeezy's that probably won't be able to purchase them without going over retail. These are the shoe for you these are a stripped down version of the Air Yeezy without the sole of the Air Revolution/Jordan 3 or the strap. To some this shoe may seem bland and as a cop out I personally believe it is the latter , but it is a nice fair alternative to those who won't be in the key cities. Air Jordan Fusion 6 White/Infrared

I'm not really big fan of fusions personally , but these are an exception. There was an earlier sample that caught a lot of flack for two reasons . One for being undetailed and two for "desecrating" the Jordan" legacy ", but this recent sample may hush the critics with its attention to detail of the preforated holes on the upper and retaining a remarkable amount out of the Jordan 6 silhouette's. The shoe features a white leather upper black accents on the heel tab , Jordan 6 tongue ,an infrared mid sole, and the visible air bubble the shoe is very respectful homage to the Jordan 6 [ even though certain purist might say otherwise ]. All it needs is the clear sole and the shoe is a perfect blend. The release date is set at January 31,2009.

After all these years its seemed that Pip finally gets his due with the heavily anticipated release of the Air Flight Lite Hi Citrons .These shoes were real high tops and extremely light compared to todays shoes and those of its era , but sadly it played second fiddle to Mikes 6s that year and were forgotten For all the old heads and young guys looking to expand their collection this is a must buy .These are expected to be released very soon along with the Bulls and Purps Colorways that are expected to release over the next two months for the retail price of $112.

University Big Nike 2009 Second Look

If you are an o.g head you would remember the Big Nike the predecessor of the Terminator. It was a major basketball shoe for Nike in 1986 these shoe soon fell into the Nike Vaults after the Manut Bol novelty faded. Luckily Nike cracked open the archives to release these bad boys . The material consist of nubuck and the sidepanel and toeboox and a gumsole which we haven't seen much of recently .tThe colorway is very reminscent ofthe Nike College Colours from the 80's . If you are a fan of Nike Basketball shoes before they got to high-tech these are the perfect shoe for you .

Worn on the feet of Sir Charles during the olympics these shoes wewere given instant grail status and when they retroed in 05 they were released in og colorways and regular ones. And for all those who missed out on the rage these became a slept on classic for the past three years .

For awhile now the Air Force 2 has been the neglected little brother of the Air Force family [ seriously these are slept on butters] interesting colorways haven't drop for an absurdly long time . Luckily I have these pictures of these upcoming Atari inspired joints . I found out these were coming out a while back and all I can say is dog the hype. Serioously I thought I was an idiot for not buying the cdp but now Mike gives me my chance at redemption in a twisted way . I know its not really an og release but damnit I think they are hot surriously. Not every tight jordan was picked up on immediately remeber those old retros of the early 90's . Well o.g colors were on shelves in Marshalls and Ross son . Especially the Nu retros. I mean really, shoes that people pass up then became the most coveted kicks. Jordan Brand has made it extremely clear they aren't going to do general releases of retro's for a while. So this year is the only chance to get certain models. Next year Jordan Brand is going to due limited runs. Starting with these Pewter and Infa-red 1's in primary Infared and Pewter.
